MOE Facilitors at Sentosa..

Today was another big day for Mr Lim here other than today was Happy Boxing Day as he stepped his second step towards a tourist guide. Haha.. Crap here. This post will be quite a long one so people please tahan..

Ya today Pei Rong, Ai Ping and I met at Bedok MRT station at 8am to go VS together. I reached there at 7.30am to make sure that I wouldn't be late. But I guessed I was too early. So I went to the place beside to get something to eat. I bought some curry puffs but it turned out that those stupid curry puffs were overnight and out of the 3 that I bought, 2 were sour. In the end, I was feeling super weird in my stomach the whole day.

When we reached there, the person-in-charge was already there. He was reading out all the groups and their respective facilitators. The ironic thing was that Pei Rong and I were there but we didn't have a group to handle and in the end, we took Group 9 as there was no facilitator taking that group.

At around 9plus, the students came in and at the beginning, it was kind of weird because they were all from different nations and some of them didn't want to talk at all while others were slacking all the way. There were ten students in our group coming from Vietnam, Indonesia and some countries that I couldn't remember at the moment.
We had some ice-breakers to start the ball rolling. It was quite weird since they had nothing to refer and they looked quite lost. I also didn't want to join in the ice-breakers because I didn't have a good impression of ice-breakers. I think that the games were kind of stupid. LOL..

But after the boring briefing that I had gone through 3times, it was time for them to do the planning. It was kind of fun to see them crack their heads to get the answers to the questions on Sentosa. They were given 2hours to do the planning.

During the planning stage, Pei Rong was down there praying that the rain would get bigger and we didn't have to go Sentosa and we could go Vivo City instead because she had never been there before. LOL.. I also supported her by saying that the rain would flood that place. Haha..

By the time they were done, it was around 12plus. Pei Rong kept saying that she was hungry. LOL.. We had our lunch there. It was just rice, salty soup, some vegetables and chicken wing. I was feeling uneasy due to the stupid curry puff. So in the end, even though I took all the side dishes, I only ate the egg, rice and the soup that's all. I gave Pei Rong my chicken wing since she was quite hungry. I didn't take the fruits too. I thought that if I ate somemore, I would vomit. LOL..

After that, we boarded the bus and headed for Sentosa. My group had to be divided into two separate groups to board the bus because my group was quite big as compared to the others which had only like five to six people only.

On the bus, I sat beside this Vietnamese from my group. We had a good chat and I found out many interesting things about Vietnam. I also found out that he and I had a common interest. We both liked to play badminton. BADMINTON ROX..

When we reached there at around 2pm, it was like heavy drizzle. I can't say that it was a downpour. We were given two sectors, namely A and B, to complete the challenges given to us. But we were informed that sector A was removed due to the rain. So all of us started with sector B with our ponchos on. Could you imagine the scene where there were like 50+ people trying to board that blue line? LOL.. chaotic..

Pei Rong told me that we alighted at the wrong stop when we tried to find our first destination. We alighted at some hotel and found out that it was wrong. The other group took the same route too. Luckily, their facilitators from SAJC told us that. So we went to take another bus. LOL.. They still missed the bus-stop where the other group alighted. Zzz.. Nevertheless, we still carried on.

After that, Pei Rong went to tell Group 9 off as they couldn't work as a team and the guys were running on their own leaving some of the groupmates behind. I thought that that was the turning point of the game. They started to cooperate with one another and worked together as a team.

Along the way, we met the same group that made the same error as us again. The facilitators told me that sector A was opened. If we wanted to go there, we must reach the half-way point at Coffee Bean at 3.30pm. So my group decided that we should get the top prize of the day which was a hamper.

There were some funny things that happened along the way. One of them was that Pei Rong got her shorts wet because she was washing her shoes at the 'foundation' and the water spew out. LOL.. It was quite funny since she told me that that was a terrible thing that happened. Another thing that happened was that our answer key was like salted fish. The paper teared when we flipped the pages. LOL.. Could you imagine how strong the rain was??

They were fast in solving the challenges posted to them. They went around asking people where the place might be. I thought that that was a smart move that none of us could think of in the trial. They solved all the things in sector B except for the one that they missed. And they reached the half-way point which was at Coffee Bean at 3.25pm. We were like the sixth group to reach despite that we made a mistake initially.

After the short break of around 5minutes, we set off for the second part of the event which was the tougher one as we needed to climb the Mount Imbian. We took a tram ride. The leader of that group was a bit lame. He stood up almost every stop telling the group to get off and said that he made a mistake. He did that for 3times and when it was the real stop, no one believed him. LOL..

We went for the wrong trail again. We were supposed to go for the Dragon Trail and in the end we went for the Jungle trail. LOL.. But in the end I did inform them and we walked back. By this time, the rain was getting bigger. We walked faster as we didn't have a lot of time. We took a bus to the Dragon Trail and it was kind of tiring as we entered from the wrong entrance. LOL.. In the end, we climbed Mount Imbian twice and we went back to the starting point.

There was this family who was very unreasonable. The person-in-charge tried to block this family from entering the bus because that bus was reserved for those who participated in the game. They barged past the person-in-charge and went inside the bus. This was so rude.

Anyway, we reached there on time. Tell you something real great..

MY GROUP 9 WON THE COMPETITION..

MUHAHAHA..

MY GROUP LEH..

SONG BO..

I'm so happy for my group as they worked together to achieve success. They are quite a good batch of people. They won and gave me and Pei Rong some of their reward. It was so touching. They also sent me an sms to thank us. SO TOUCHED BY THEIR ACTIONS..

I ENJOYED TODAY ALOT.. HOPE TO HAVE MORE CHANCES IN THE FUTURE TO KNOW MORE PEOPLE..

On the way back, it was super tiring as my back hurt and my legs were giving way. LOL.. It was tough standing on the MRT from HarbourFront to my house. A total of 27stops. Zzz..

I think it's time for me to sleep. Nitez to everyone..
