Slightly more than a month since I update my blog because I was simply too busy even though now it's low-key for my company. There were a lot of ceremony going on and my friend and I had to help out at those events where a lot of big-shots people would be present. Very tiring because of the rehearsals till late nights. I would just touch on the special events that happened to me!
On 14th July, it was the day where I got my marksman! Haha but no money because I got to reshoot for the day. SIANZ!! But still I got the badge for consolation! Haha.. I still felt so shiok inside just that no money lor. $200 fly away.. LOL! It was quite a different experience from BMT style. It was much easier..
On 18th July, my whole unit went East Coast Park and ran for 5km. My friends and I were running and we ran past the turning point and there was no board to say so. LOL.. So in the end, I didn't manage to run under the timing I expect it to be. Zzz.. But I had a free ride home by my sgt. Haha..
On 25th July, I went to take my SOC test for this year. I MANAGED TO PASS WITH JUST ONE ATTEMPT!! Whoo!! I ran the 1st 700m and hit the Low Wall at 3min 15s. The 700m run was quite shagged even though it was just the starting. Then, I cleared all the obstacles and left Low Ramp at 6min. Then I took 3min 40s to run the last 600m. Super duper slow for the last part! My friend said that I ran slower than walking. LOL.. SHould have walked the last 600m!! Haha.. So in total I took 9min40s to clear SOC!! First time ever in my army life that I cleared SOC. LOL!! I always fail at a few stations or my running can't make it but I just proved myself wrong yesterday. Haha.. SUPER HAPPY FOR THE WHOLE DAY!!
I watched The Dark Knight when I booked out. It was quite a nice and cool movie given all the explosions and the fighting scenes. I especially like the part where the batman's tank-like car which was in severely damaged condition changed into the motobike out of sudden. It was super cool!! 2.5hours worth of action-packed movie! COOL! Side track abit, the joker wasn't as scary as what the papers describe it to be but nevertheless, the acting was still quite okay. (perhaps better than average)
One Last Piece of Good news-I'm chosen to be my Platoon best! WHOO!! This was super good news to me. I didn't know about it until my officer told me to meet him in the office. The platoon 2 best was chosen to be the company best and he had a lot of benefits associated with it. Well, he deserved it more than I do. Nevertheless, I still felt quite happy about this new. A low-key guy in BMT where the sgt until the 6weeks also didn't know his name to a platoon best in his new unit. How happy can I be?
