POP break..
It has been a super long time since I have updated this blog of mine. I think my english has become more and more rusty after staying in the camp for long period of time. Let me think of what has happened for the past few weeks that kept me so busy.
1st thing that made me quite happy for a while was that I was the company best for the month of August!! WOoHOo! Haha.. Didn't really expect it coming but I guess the whole month of helping out in the office did have some effects on this. Got some day-off because of this. Haha.. Have to accumulate more so that I can have a long break at the end of the year!
Anyway back to the topic, for almost 2weeks or so after I got my license, I began training with my crew. 1st time working as a team. Felt kind of weird because I didn't learn anything about the turret. So the 3 of them were talking about '...' which I didn't understand at all. I always worked alone and had to teach them some of the maintainence stuff that I learnt. I know finally understand why people say drivers are the most xiong. I guess I have no choice but to accept my fate. Anyway during the 2 weeks, it was quite hectic and temper rose everywhere because we had to meet the standard or else we were screwed up and down. Most of the time, it was my crew who kena the most because of one reason which I shall not mention. Hope in future nothing crop up again or else I have to suffer!!
For the last week, it was a rehearsal week for my Passing Out Parade. It started on wednesday. My crew was chosen to be tank for moving in during the parade together with 3 other tanks! And I was the driver. Many things happened during the rehearsal. I did most of the damage. On the 1st day of rehearsal(Wednesday), I hit another smaller tank and caused that tank to turn to one side 45 degree. 3rd day of rehearsal(Friday), my tank hit a lamp post and caused it to bend but the lamp post didn't fell. Super sianz lah. By the end of Friday before the actual one on Saturday, I was super demoralised by all the incidents. Had to write quite a number of statements regarding the damage even though I didn't do it due to negligience.
I was also quite sad because of two people in my crew.
I was scolded by the 1st person and it wasn't my fault in the 1st place. He didn't know my weakness and asked me to do something which I was weak in. In the end, I was scolded for it. KNS.. Felt super unhappy about him but what to do. I still have to stuck with this person for about 2 more months. Hope 1st December faster come! Then he shall be changed to another place!!
The other guy who I was angry about was more worse. He said things that made me feel really very sad. He was chosen to be promoted and I wasn't. He purposely came to me and said things like "Why I get promoted ar?Not you meh?Company best can't promote ar?What a joke?" And he didn't say that once or twice. He said it thrice. I was like what the hell. I replied him the 1st time and for the 2nd and 3rd time I just ignored him straight away. He was super irritating. Always like to show off his ability in doing things and quite selfish at times lor. Can't imagine I have to stick with him for more than a year. Life is going to be quite terrible with such egoistic man. Haiz..
Though I had to stick with them for such long period of time, I still have my good friends to rely on. They all came and comforted me. I'm actually quite happy that I still have weng kin, Simon, Yong Hui, Dominic, Marcus and Wilson to talk to me. Life there is a bit better. Haiz..
Saturday-THE BIG DAY! It was my POP! At last it finally came!! Though I was feeling quite down, my spirits lightened up a bit when I saw my family members coming into camp waving at me. Felt quite happy. I was waiting at the waiting area where I saw them waving at me. They all turned up. I was in the 1st tank to roar into the parade square and my sister took video of all the driving that I had done. My dad put on the badge for me and the whole parade went smoothly except that during the moving in of the tanks, one of the tanks knocked down the entire tree. This time it was not me! Haha!! LOL!! The parents thought that it was a live demonstration. LOL!! Haha.. Everything went smoothly other than the incident I guess. My cousin said I looked nerd in the parade. Zzzz.. How nice can a NS boy look? LOL!.. After the whole thing, finally got to go home at 1pm. Went to eat with parents and slept the whole day.
Sunday-I met my friends at 9.30pm to play mahjong. The second guy I was pissed was also there. He also made a few irritating statements to provoke me again by saying something like 'Waa I'm the only lance corporal there' and he said it 3times again. I think he scared that we all did not hear him. Stupid. During the night, he was talking about how he was going to win super big until we all bankrupt. In the end he only won like 2dollars?..Crap.. I just pity Marcus because he lost all his money. Super sad for him..
Supposed to have platoon outing on today. I just don't feel like going out with them because I simply can't communicate with them. They all talk about things and I feel it hard to keep conversation going. Finally I have a break from all this.
IPPT results was super bad. My running was getting worse. I suffered an injury. My right knee cap cant take long distance running anymore. Running was becoming more and more painful to me. Haiz.. Hope I can faster recover and get my IPPT GOLD!!!
Just watched BIG STAN today. It was super nice and funny. The male main actor was super funny. I really suggest u all go catch this movie or watch it online. It's worth the time. It is about this guy who committed a fraud and got sentence to 3years of jail. He got 6months before he went to jail and he heard about rumours that in the jail, the people there practised raping one another. He was worried about being raped and started to find ways to prevent himself from being raped. That's the storyline. Rest assured no dirty or sexual scene. Purely comedy.
Gotta book in tomorrow. Block leave ends so quickly. Haiz.. going overseas on 18October. Dont think got the time to do anything. Probably see you all when I come back on 22nd November. Life is going to be tough..
